What is it about Paris & Fashion?

Editions : Apricate Books

Preface by Olivier Saillard | Epilogue by Sarah Andelman

Through a series of leisurely interviews, fifteen Paris-based fashion designers, including Jean Paul Gaultier and Roland Mouret, explain how the city’s atmosphere inspires their creativity, referencing the rich history of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the influence of the New Wave, as well as the emergence of buzzing new neighbourhoods and stylish museums.

The designers lead us through the streets of Paris, along the banks of the Seine and into squares and courtyards, evoking the special aura of their favourite districts. Naturally, they also dwell on that much-admired and mythologised feminine figure: the Parisienne.
